Third grade Drama

Well as you may or may not know my Aunt Lynda broke her shoulder a few weeks back and had to have surgery on it. She broke her right shoulder so she can't do much with her right arm at all so I've been going into her class to help out. It's amazing watching her third grade class, I mean heck ya I remember third grade! Eww Miss. Salanger Zornow, if you ever want to hear about a mean teacher just ask! But I never remember it like this. They come into class, and work on their morning work. I swear we used to spend hours a day on an assignment, but here they are only taking ten minutes to work on math or cursive. Oh about cursive, I thought I remembered it well until Lynda asked me to write letters on the board for the kids. Ya, I failed, I had to look at the chart to make sure I was making my letters right and everything.
The first day no one would ask me for help even thought Lynda told them they could. It was a little awkward but I got smiles all the time. Go figure the first comment I get is "You're pretty" from one of the little girls. Then after that I got a flood of "I like your red nails" and "Your shoes are so cool!" I guess I dress like a third grader? The best thing by far though was when another teach was outside during recess with me and she was telling us about papers her third grade class wrote about whatr they would do if they were president. One of the boys in her class said "I would paint the white house green. It needs a new color, and also it would be camouflaged from all of the bad guys!" Wow who would have thunk to make the white house some other color, because if you think about it how boring is white? Very! Anyway it's back to the classroom today to help out and laugh at Lynda while she tries to write left handed.
